Welcome to Umatilla Movers. By using our services or visiting our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.


1. Definitions

  • Company: Refers to Umatilla Movers, its employees, and agents.
  • Customer: Refers to any individual or business entity engaging the services of Umatilla Movers.
  • Services: Refers to all moving, packing, storage, and related services provided by Umatilla Movers.
  • Goods: Refers to all items the Customer entrusts to Umatilla Movers for moving or storage.

2. Booking and Service Agreement

  • Booking Confirmation: A service agreement is established once the Customer confirms the booking, either verbally, electronically, or in writing.
  • Accuracy of Information: The Customer is responsible for providing accurate information about the nature, quantity, and weight of items to be moved or stored.
  • Changes and Cancellations: Any changes or cancellations to bookings must be communicated at least 48 hours before the scheduled service. Fees may apply for late cancellations.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • Quotes: All quotes provided are estimates based on the information given by the Customer. Final charges may vary depending on the actual scope of work.
  • Payment Terms: Payment is required as outlined in the booking confirmation. Full payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed.
  • Additional Charges: Extra fees may apply for:
    • Oversized or heavy items.
    • Stairs, elevators, or restricted access.
    • Delays caused by the Customer.

4. Liability

  • Limitations of Liability:
    • The Company is not liable for any damage or loss caused by circumstances beyond its control, including weather, traffic delays, or force majeure events.
    • The Company is not responsible for damages to items that were not packed or prepared by our team.
  • Insurance: The Company’s basic liability coverage is limited to $0.60 per pound per item unless additional insurance coverage is purchased.

5. Prohibited Items

The Customer must not include the following items for moving or storage:

  • Hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, explosives).
  • Perishable goods.
  • Illegal items or substances.
    The Company reserves the right to refuse transportation or storage of any prohibited items.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Packing: Ensure all items are packed securely if not using the Company’s packing services.
  • Access: Provide clear and safe access to the premises on the day of service.
  • Valuables: Notify the Company in advance of any high-value items requiring special care or additional insurance.

7. Storage Services

  • Access to Stored Goods: The Customer may access stored goods with prior notice during normal business hours.
  • Abandonment of Goods: If storage fees are not paid for 60 days, the Company reserves the right to dispose of or auction the stored goods.
  • Insurance for Storage: The Customer is responsible for insuring items stored with the Company.

8. Delays and Postponements

The Company strives to adhere to agreed schedules but is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen events.


9. Dispute Resolution

  • Complaints: Any concerns must be submitted in writing within 7 days of service completion.
  • Mediation: The Company encourages mediation as a first step in resolving disputes.
  • Legal Jurisdiction: All disputes will be governed by the laws of Florida.

10. Termination of Agreement

The Company reserves the right to terminate services in the event of:

  • Non-payment of fees.
  • Unsafe conditions at the Customer’s premises.
  • Breach of these terms and conditions by the Customer.

11. Privacy Policy

The Company values your privacy and will not share your personal information with third parties except as required to provide services or comply with legal obligations.


12. Amendments to Terms

The Company reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review these terms regularly.
